MacKay, Alana Brittany – 22, Millbrook passed away January 9, 2012. Born August 2, 1989 in Truro, she was a daughter of Sylvia “Arlene” Martin and John Francis MacKay. Alana was a loving mother, daughter and sister. She is survived by children, Kiera Ava MacKay and Daniel John MacKay; siblings, Melanie Martin, Hollie Martin, Leon Somerville, Vance Martin; grandparents, Doris Abram, Katherine “Cookie” Leslie and John C. MacKay; Godparents, Sherri MacKay and Vance Stephens. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and especially close family friend, Lloyd Johnson. She was predeceased by her uncle, Donald Joseph “Donnie” Martin. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro; Funeral Mass on Friday, January 13 at 10:30 am in Sacred Heart Church, Millbrook with Father Francesco Pirisi officiating.
