Peacefully surrounded by her family at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday May 16, 2008, of Muriel E. MacRae of 25 Pleasant St., Kensington, and formerly of Spring Brook, aged 76 years. Born in Long River Sept. 25, 1931, daughter of the late George and Norma (MacKenzie) Paynter. Wife of Norman J. MacRae. Mother of Adelaide (Elmer) MacAusland, Kensington; Austin (Paula) MacRae, Halifax; George (Nancy) MacRae, Spring Brook; Marie Ramsay, Summerside and Cindy Moore, Kensington. Son-in-law Jack McKie, Spring Valley. Grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Sister of Herbert (Margaret) Paynter, Gladys Stavert, Joan (Wesley) Cole and Brenda Baglole. Sister-in-law of Mollie Paynter, Bennett MacRae, Hugh (Gloria) MacRae and Erma Oakes. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughter Ann McKie, brother Douglas Paynter, brothers-in-law Albert Stavert, Borden MacRae and Charles Oakes and sisters-in-law Marion MacRae, Eileen MacLean and Irene MacRae. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for family visitation on Saturday. Public funeral service in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel Sunday at 4 p.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley.
