Passed peacefully on Thursday, January 12th, 2012, at Corner Brook Long Term Care, Eileen Basha at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack, her sons: Gerry and Fred, her grandson Mark, brothers: Bernard and Austin Davis and sister, Mae Schmidt. Left to celebrate her life are her daughters: Betty (Don), Maureen (Mike), Sharon (Sisters of Mercy) and son Brian (Katrina); daughters–in-law, Mary and Catherine (Kay); grandchildren: Carolyn, Maureen, Andrew, Stephen, Mia, John, Sharon-Rose, Eileen-Anne, Richard, Denise, Nadine and Olivia, great-grandchildren: Ben, Mallory, Emelia, Maura, Sam, Laura, Sophie, Amira and Calley, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue, Saturday from 7-9 p.m. Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 16th at 10:30 a.m. from The Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue, Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
