LONDON, BARBARA JOYCE - It is with sadness the family announce that Barbara “Joyce” London’s courageous battle with cancer ended at The Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, January 13, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Born 1956 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Dorothy (Clarke) Clark. Joyce worked for several years for the Loch Lomond Guardian Drugs and was a proud member of the “Breast’s Ahoy” dragon boat team and a devoted hockey mom. She is survived by her husband Frederick London; son Freddy London; daughters Theresa (Travis) London and Heather (Alex) London all of Saint John; sister Helen (the late Ralph) Phillips of Saint John; brothers Wayne (Marlene) Clark of Calgary, AB and Donald (Pauline) Hardy of Montrose, PE; brother-in-law Roy Lewis; several brothers and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and many friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister Ruby Lewis.
Following cremation, visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Monday January 16, 2012 and Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 12 p.m. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
