McDAVID, JACKIE - 1930 - 2012 - Jackie McDavid, 81 of Riverview, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital Born in Matapedia, PQ, he was the son of the late Jack McDavid and Lena (Mann) McDavid. Jackie was a retired conductor and brakeman with CN, having over 35 years service, and a member of the CN Pensioner Association. He was a Mason and a member of Coverdale Lodge No. 52 F&AM, a member of the Moncton Luxor Temple Shrine Club. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Phyllis (Mann), son, Wayde (Eva) of Campbellton, sisters; Etta McDavid and Mildred MacRae both of Toronto, brothers; Stuart (Jean) of Toronto, Wallace (Anne) of Oshawa and Laird (Ellen) of Port Coquitlam, BC, and sister-in-law, Carolyn Mann of Riverview and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
The family will be receiving visitors at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, with a Masonic Service to take place at the funeral home at 6:45 PM. Visitation will take place the following day Tuesday at Maher’s Funeral Home, 33 Landsdowne St., Campbellton (789-1699) from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be held from Maher’s Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 18 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Blair Holden officiating.
