At Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, May 19, 2008, of Charles Patrick Powers of 514 North Market St., Summerside, age 64 years. Born in Northport, P.E.I., on Dec. 10, 1943, he was the son of the late Clarence and Ruth (nee Ramsay) Powers. Dear brother to Wanda Jelley (Lester Chappell) of Summerside, Lawrence Lornie (Reta) of Summerside, and Mike Bud (Kay) of Trenton, Ont. He is also survived by an aunt, Faith Ramsay of Charlottetown, as well as two sisters-in-law, Barb Powers of Tyne Valley and Yvonne Powers of Egmont Bay. Also surviving are his many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers Bob, Garth and Lloyd; by a sister-in-law Sheila Shea Powers; a brother-in-law Elwin Jelley; and by a nephew, Erskine. Resting at Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, from where funeral will be held Friday from the Sacred Heart Church Alberton for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Greg Conway celebrant.
