DUNLAY, LENA (FLANAGAN) - (1936-2012) - BASS RIVER, NB - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Lena Mary Dunlay 75, passed away peacefully with her daughter; Arene and daughter-in-law Carla by her side at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent after a lengthy illness. Born in Browns Yard, she was the daughter of the late Eldon and late Lillian (Roberts) Flanagan. Lena attended St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, Bass River. Lena will be sadly missed by her loving husband; William Dunlay of Bass River, her daughter; Arene (Stephen) of Bass River, her three sons; Edward Dunlay (Carla) of Emerson Road, Kevin Dunlay of Emerson Road, Rodney Dunlay (Valire) of Bass River, grandchildren; Maureen of Calgary, Sasha (Jason) of Moncton, Donald & Trevor of Moncton, Colten of Emerson Road, Robbie, Alanya & Scott of Bass River, great grandchildren; Alexia, Hallie, Kohen, Mikaela, two sisters; Eunice (Fred) of Emerson Road, Rita Mitchell of Bryants Corner and several nieces & nephews. Lena was predeceased by both her parents.
Lena will be resting at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, Bass River with visitation on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Thursday at noon until time of funeral. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 19th, 2012 at 2:00 PM, St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, Bass River and officiated by Rev. A. D. Sutherland. Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
