SAINSBURY, Ellen (Nellie) (1926 - 2009)– Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Hospital on November 27th, 2009 Ellen (Nellie) Sainsbury (Castella) of Pouch Cove. Predeceased by her husband Chesley, parents Reuben and Susie Castella, sister Maria Castella, brothers Harry and Reg Castella and niece Lisa Castella. Leaving to mourn son Warren (Lorna), grandson Lorne (Lynda), great-grandchildren Samantha and Bryson, her treasured dog Tiny George; sister Olive Bailiff (Jimmy); brother, The Rev’d Eugene (Shirley) Castella; sisters-in-law: Millicent Sainsbury and Hilda Dougherty and brother-in-law Berkley Sainsbury, also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Remains are resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay. Viewing will take place on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service will take place from Memorial United Church, Pouch Cove on Monday, November 30th at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Memorial United Cemetery, Pouch Cove. No flowers by request, however donations may be made in her memory to St. Luke’s Home for the purchase of a Residents’ Bus. Envelopes available at the Funeral Home.
