With saddened hearts we announce the sudden passing of Murray at the Glace Bay General Hospital on Nov. 27, 2009.
He was born in Glace Bay to the late Charles and Edith (Billard) Burt.
He resided at Terrace Manor for the last number of years. At one time Murray could be found in town running errands for many of the store personnel.
Murray is survived by three sisters, Catherine (Roy) Turner, Halifax, Ada (Clarence) Pinsent, Glace Bay and Nancy (Lloyd) MacLeod, Bridgewater. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Murray was predeceased by an infant brother, Charles.
Visitation for Murray will be held Monday, Nov. 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. His funeral service will be Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Marconi Street, with Rev. Vernon Reid officiating, followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
No flowers, by request and memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
