At Western Hospital, on Saturday, November 28, 2009, of Daisy Lillian Phillips (nee Millar), of Lady Slipper Villa , O'Leary, formerly of Ellerslie, wife of the late Bertran Phillips, aged 93. Born at Ellerslie on February 11, 1916, daughter of the late Joshua and Martha (Penrose) Millar. Loving mother of Doris (Reginald) Kelly, Hammonds Plains, N.S.; and Alvin (Elizabeth) Phillips, Mount Uniacke, N.S. Special mother to Zalina (Brian) Hook, Hammonds Plains, N.S. Cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren: Lloyd (Shanna) Phillips, Freeland; Linda (David), MacKinnon, Tyne Valley; Lorna (Sam) Dawson, Poplar Grove; Carl Kelly Rachel Sibley, Sackville N.S.; Cheryl Lynn (Jim) Dockrill, Sackville N.S.; Mark (Karen) Phillips, Clayton Park, N.S.; Darren (Lindsay) Phillips, Bedford, N.S.; twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Sister of Layton Millar, of the Lady Slipper Villa, O'Leary and sister Mae Hardy of the Summerset Manor, Summerside. Survived by sister-in-law Vivian Phillips, Foxley River; and brother-in-law Sterling (Pat) Phillips, London ON., Carman's partner Bertha Bridges, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by son Carman, daughter-in-law Elizabeth, brothers and sisters, Sterling, Marguerite, Ivan, Lloyd, Alton, Verna, Glenford and Roy. Resting at the Ferguson's Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Bideford-Conway United Church. Interment to follow in the Bideford United Cemetery. Memorials to the Bideford United Church Cemetery or the Heart and Stroke foundation or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
