October 17, 1930 - January 16, 2012. Passed away at his residence in Georgetown on Monday, January 16, 2012. Predeceased by his parents William & Mary (nee Bartlett), sisters: Mary Bridget, Margaret, Susan and Jenny, brothers: Mark and Cyril, foster daughter, Heather Piercey. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Joan (nee Fisher) of 52 years; children: Winnie, Denise, Mark, Colleen, Shawn, Terry, Cathy, Tony and Christine who was a special God-daughter; grandchildren: Adam, Caitlin, Tyler, Brittany, Christopher, James, Samantha, Stephanie, Uli and John; special friend Mary Griffen; sister-in-law Alice Hayes; special niece Debbie for all her love and care; special nephew Scott and Charlotte in England. Resting at Broughton’s Funeral Home, Brigus with visitation on Wednesday & Thursday from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m., 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral to take place on Friday, January 20, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Church, Brigus with interment to follow in the R.C.
