Born August 17, 1942. Our darling Irene passed away suddenly at her home in St. John’s on January 16, 2012. Irene was predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Mary Ann Martin of Grates Cove, NL, her brother Danny Martin and her sister Sheila Hong. Irene is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by sisters: Marie Haynes (Bob), Anna Hong (Don), Nora Penney (Steve), Pauline Moon, Mary Roblin (Tom), Margaret Martin and brother Bernard Martin (Shelley), and many relatives and friends. All who knew her were touched by her kindness, easy smile and positive energy. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, Sunday January 22, 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Service to take place at Caul’s Funeral Home Chapel Monday, January 23, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
