On October 9, 2006 our dear Kathryn "Kathy" Ann Wilmot (nee Purkis) of Kamloops, B.C. passed away suddenly at the age of 50. She will be proudly remembered by her loving family. Dale Wilmot, husband/high school sweetheart of 34 years. Her two loving daughters of Victoria, B.C., Jennifer (Leslie) Sheppard and Nicole Wilmot. Also her dear sweet granddaughter Jade, who she loved and adored. Kathy's memories will go on through the hearts of the ones who loved and cherished her. Her loving family and friends, who lost this special angel, including her five brothers and sisters, Lynda Purkis, Patti (Kip) Gilbert, Len (Cindie) Purkis, How (Kim) Purkis, and Fred (Lori) Purkis. Father and mother in-law, Pat and Jo Wilmot. Brothers and sisters in-law, Brian (Sue) Wilmot, Gary (Judy) Wilmot, Marvin (Veronica) Wilmot, Diane (Jim) Dokolas, Darlene (Al) Hungar, and 25 nieces and nephews. Her aunts Alice (Ray), Lena, Vera and Helen and many other friends and family. Kathy was a true angel, who looked out for others hopes and dreams. She never left a page unturned, always helping friends and family in so many special ways, and constantly looking out for others needs. Kathy was born in Kamloops, B.C. on October 5th, 1956 to William and Eveleyn Purkis, who predeceased her. She was raised in Kamloops, Prince Rupert and Edmonton. She attended Norkam Sec. School and after graduation in 1974, she enjoyed a fulfilling career at the Bank of Montreal, Kamloops that spanned over 20 years. Kathy wed her high school sweetheart in 1979, and in 1981 their first daughter Jennifer was born. In 1983 Nicole joined this wonderful family. In 2000 her joyful life dream was born, Jade. Our family would like to thank her many doctors over these past years. Kathy, you are truly loved and will be sadly missed each and every day. The Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2006 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel. Donations made to the B.C. Children's Hospital, 4480 Oak St., Vancouver, B.C. V6H 3V4, (in recognition of their tremendous support of her wonderful granddaughter Jade during her time of need) would be greatly appreciated.
