BABINEAU, JOSEPH ALBERT - 1935-2012 - ST. LOUIS DE KENT, NB – Albert Babineau 76, of St. Louis de Kent passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Friday, January 20th, 2012. Born in St. Louis de Kent, he was the son of the late François and late Laurence (Maillet) Babineau. Before retiring, Albert worked as a truck driver for over 50 years. He was a heavy equipment operator. Albert was an avid gardener and loved bird watching, digging clams, picking mussels, and he was a pyro-technician. He was a volunteer firefighter for over 25 years and he was Fire Chief for 6 years. Albert attended St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church and was an alter server for many years. Albert will be sadly missed by his loving wife; Rosanna Babineau (née Fontaine) of St. Louis, two daughters; Jacqueline (Claude) living in Fort McMurray, Yvette (Louis) of Gray Road, two sons; Claude (Cécile) and Vincent (Jeannette) both living in Dartmouth, NS, nine grandchildren; Michelle, Nicole, Alexandre, Benoît, Geneviève, Marc, Mélanie, Rosemarie and Wallace, five great grandchildren; Dylan, Joshua, Nicole, Baewolf and Jaxon. Albert is also survived by seven sisters; Aldona, Thelma, Francine, Gertrude, Régina, Marianna, and Jeanne and five brothers; Euclide, Gaetan, Charles, Flavien and Marcel. Albert is predeceased by his parents, one son; Normand and one brother; Ludovic.
Albert will be resting at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm, Monday at 2:00 pm until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 23rd, 2012 at 4:00 pm, St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis de Kent. Interment will be held at a later date. Due to allergies, the family requests a scent free environment and in lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
