It is with broken hearts that we the family announce the passing of Shaun Andrews on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Sydney, he was the only child of Charles and Jessie (Goodwin) Andrews, Coxheath.
Besides his parents, Shaun is survived by his wife, Mary Andrews; his daughter, Katie Andrews and her husband, Brandon Florian, Petawawa, Ont.; and his son, Jacob Andrews, Edmonton, Alta.
He was a carpenter by trade who spent his working life in the local construction union. Shaun enjoyed nature and the outdoors, especially his own property in Beechmont. He was an avid gardener and took great pleasure in harvesting his gardens. Shaun loved animals and always had a loyal dog by his side. Shaun loved to socialize with young and old alike. He will be sadly missed by his many friends, his loving wife, his children and his parents.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, from 12-2 p.m. A memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
