The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, January 22, 2012, with family by his side, of John (Sonny) Pippy, formerly of Mount Herbert in his 74th year.
Left to remember him and mourn his passing are his sister, Phyllis McQuillan of Kingston, Ontario; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth; his nieces, Kathy Evans (Todd Weberg) of Red Deer, Patricia Roberts (Eddy), Linda of Red Deer, Erin (Jason French), Sandra Jamieson (Barry MacLeod) and Terry, Kim and Kelly McQuillan of Kingston, Ontario; nephews, Mike McQuillan (Laurie Blanchard) of Stratford, Mark McQuillan (Donna) of Kingston, Martin McQuillan of Gibson, BC, and John Pippy of Toronto and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Rena (Coffin) Pippy; brothers, Harold and George; brother-in-law, Fred McQuillan; and nephew, Matt McQuillan.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Tuesday, January 24, 5-8:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, at Stratford Chapel, Hillsboro Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Herbert Memorial Cemetery.
