Ron lost his battle to cancer with his family by his side on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the age of 44 years. He wanted everyone to know that he will miss you all and that he left 'kicking and screaming.'

Ron will be forever remembered by his loving wife Leann, his 15 year old son Jake, his 11 year old daughter Alyssa. Parents Jim and Bev; brothers Darren (Taura), Chad (Melanie), special aunt Pearl (Bruce), mother-in-law Jean, brothers-in-law Jerry (Linda), Kevin (Tracy), sisters-in-law Pat (Don) and Dianne, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and many more relatives and friends who were all so important in his life.

Ron's determination, love of life, family, friends and community helped him turn a 12 month diagnosis into 64 months of love. His battle with prostate cancer was fought fiercely and courageously and was an inspiration to us all. Ron taught us many things, never give up despite the odds, lead with a gentle heart, and to pay attention to things that matter "big or small."

A Celebration of Love and Light will be held on Saturday, January 28th at 1:00 p.m. in the Calvary Community Church, 1205 Rogers Way, with Pastor Darren Donas officiating.
