Gus MacIsaac
Mere words could never adequately express the sense of love, caring and dear friendship we the family of the late Gus McIsaac felt during his recent passing. Gus passed away peacefully at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on December 19, 2011 surrounded by his loving family Our special thanks to dear family physician, Dr. Ian Lei who took such good care of our dad for so many years. We would also like thank Dr. Amad Asim for his care of Gus over the past few years. To the paramedics, the emergency staff nurses, respiratory staff, Doctors Coakley and Ritter, you made our loss so much easier to bear. We thank Fr. MacGillivray, chaplain for administering the last rites and especially the An Cala Palliative Care staff. You gave us a wonderful have to say our final goodbyes. We feel as if were "at home". May god bless all of you. When we are grieving and need comfort most, that's when angels work hardest to make sure their messages are delivered. We were certainly surrounded by angels in our family and extended family of neighbours and dear friends. Thank you for the wonderful food, phone calls, on line condolences, visits to our home, masses, donations to various charities and in general just being there for us. Never were we left with a feeling of being alone. Dad always regarded "the shore" as his true home and never would he have found a place in this world with such wonderful neighbours over the years. You were his extended family. We thank most sincerely our dear pastor Fr. Ray Huntley for celebrating at the mass and for his beautiful eulogy to Viola and Leo for their visit and to all who travelled distances to celebrate Gus' celebration of life. Special thanks to St. Leonard choir and to a dear friend Brine McIasac ,. Your music "raised us up" and gave us so much comfort. our sincerest thanks to Basil Mcgilllivary and the staff of Mcgillvarys funeral home. This difficult time for us was so much easier to bear under your care and professionalism. You treated us like your own family. To the KOC ladies our thanks for a wonderful luncheon and time for friends and family. Chances are that at some point each us of might be inspired by a thought or a feeling to something simple yet extraordinary for someone. By acting on it you might make a huge difference ins somebody's life. Ron Margaret, Patsy and Families
