On Saturday, October 28, 2006 Mr. Eugenio "Gene" Caputo passed away at the age of 72 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Rosina; his sons Paolo (Shari) and Franco both of Kamloops and his grandchildren Divree, Marina and Giovanna. Also left to cherish his memory are his sisters Silvana Lappano and Franca (Vittorio) Maio both of Italy; his brother in law Luigi (Rosaria) Cuglietta of Kamloops and nephews, nieces, cousins and other family members. Gene was born February 2, 1934 in Grimaldi, Cosenza, Italy. Gene came to Canada in 1951, working for CN Rail for 38 years, prior to retiring. He has made his home in Kamloops for over 40 years. Prayers will be recited on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Peter Nguyen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the church.
