After a short illness bravely borne, Goodwill passed away peacefully in the loving care of Trinity Hospice, Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire, England on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, aged 92.
Devoted husband of the late Margaret "Peggy" Ross, beloved dad of Marilyn and father-in-law of the late Peter Newell.
Goodwill was born in Belle River, Prince Edward Island, son of Captain Finlay J.G. and Margaret (MacKenzie) MacDougall. He was predeceased by his parents and sisters Elizabeth Brown, Janette Beaton, Margaret MacDougall and Grace Ross. Goodwill is greatly missed by his sister Kathleen Furness and nieces and nephews of the Brown, Ross, Furness and MacDonald families as well as his many Island friends.
A celebration of Goodwill's life was held at Poulton-le-Fylde Methodist Church, Queensway, England.
