DUNFIELD, DORIS E. - Doris E. Dunfield, 83, of Moncton, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, January 26, 2012. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late John and Mildred (Steeves) Leaman. Doris was formerly employed as a stenographer at the Times&Transcript and was a graduate of the NB Bible Institute. She was a member of Sunny Brae Baptist Church and the WMS, taught Sunday School and was active in children’s and various other groups within her Church. Doris loved reading, crocheting, knitting, travelling in their motor home and was an active member of the Hub City Campers. Doris will be sadly missed by her husband of over 60 years, Kenneth “Ken” Dunfield; children, Lois Dunfield of Moncton and Angela Rolfe (Ron) of Riverview; granddaughter, Michelle Irving of Toronto; brothers, Bill Leaman (Eleanor) of Chelmsford, Mass and Walter Leaman (Audrey) of Riverview; brother-in-law, Reece Dunfield (Marilyn) of Cornhill; sister-in-law, Marjorie MacLaren (late Earl) of Moncton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Lauretta and brother, John “Burton”.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 1:30 pm, Rev. Colin Cook officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
