ALDERGROVE, B.C. – James Clayton Collins, 44, of Aldergrove, B.C., and formerly of Pictou, passed away peacefully November 28, 2009, in New Westminster, B.C.
Born in Saskatoon, Sask., he was a son Erma (Bingley), Pictou; and the late Edwin Collins.
James was a mason and worked in the construction trade. He loved music and entertaining and was happiest when surrounded by his many friends and family.
James is survived by his wife, Sherri (Dick) Collins, Kelowna, B.C.; siblings: Tom (Lisa), Calgary; Robert, Pictou; Donna (Steve), Greenwood; John (Brenda), Loch Broom; nieces and nephews: Stephanie, Robyn, Delaney, Allison, and Nicholas.
James was predeceased by a nephew, Coady.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in the McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, from where funeral service will take place on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bill White officiating. Burial will be St. James Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall.
Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the SPCA.
