Marion Alberta Allaby passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 2, 2009.
Born in Trenton, N.S. on October 23, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mabel MacLeod.
Marion is survived by her children: Sue (Steve), Kim (Chris) and one son, Timothy (Cathy), Ottawa; grandchildren: Curtis, Craig, Jordan, Kaylee, Anneke, Cassandra, and Madalynn; two sisters, Muriel and Laura (Andy) and extended family: Mark, Brad (Laurie) and Jocelyn Osburn; and her beloved pets, Kiwi and Max.
She was predeceased by one sister, Ethel; and two brothers, Fred and Sam; and special companion, Art and his son, Harold Osburn.
Marion graduated from Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal in 1958 as a R.N. She retired from Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing in 1986.
In keeping with Marion’s wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation. A graveside service will be held in Trenton, N.S., at a time to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Saint John Animal Rescue League, 134 Taylor Ave., Saint John, N.B., E2K 3E6, would be appreciated by her family.
