GOGUEN, JOHN "JACK" ORICE - John "Jack" Orice Goguen, loving husband of Loretta (Mallette) Goguen, of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born 1942 in Saint John, NB he was the son of the late Orice and Rita (Donovan) Goguen. Jack worked for Midland Transport Trucking for many years retiring in 2005 as an office supervisor. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid sports fan and had coached hockey and baseball for his son, but now was the biggest sports fan of his granddaughters. Besides his loving wife Loretta of 39 years, he is survived by his son Scott Goguen and his loving daughter in law Trina of Saint John; cherished granddaughters Alyssa and Alexis; canine companion Koa; brothers Pat Goguen (Carolyn), Derek Goguen (Debbie), Michael Goguen (Myrna), Brett Goguen and Brian Goguen (Jane); sisters Margaret Anne MacDonald (John), Michele Melvin (James), Nicole Fulton and Jennifer Pierce (Bill); sisters and brothers in law Catherine Lunney, Joanne and Ronnie Arsenault and Peter and Louise Mallette; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joachim's Church on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 12 noon. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date.
