WELLS, Robert (Bob)
With family by his side, Bob passed away peacefully on Saturday November 14, 2009, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Gravelbourg, SK. Bob was born on August 5, 1946, in Gravelbourg, the only child of Frank and Doris Wells. He is survived by his friend, Pearl Wilson and his two sons: Rob (Lorraine and Cheyenne) and Bill. He will be sadly missed by his boys, his extended family and his many friends. Auntie Alma will miss his frequent visits and his cousin Lorraine will miss ‘her cowboy’. Bob had an irresistible grin and a sharp wit. He had a love for animals – and a gift for healing them when they needed his tender care. Bobby loved farming, ranching, trucking, fishing and camping. He loved life…and never ever gave up in his long and painful journey with cancer. Heartfelt thanks to the many wonderful health care professionals he met along the way. A Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2009, at the Meyronne RC Church, Meyronne, SK, with Rev. Linda Tomlinson officiant. Larry L’Heureux and Don Watson were the ushers. George Reaves was the reader. Lorriane de Montigny gave the eulogy. Cynthia Wells was the soloist. Robert Wells Jr. was the urn bearer. Interment took place at Meyronne Cemetery. Memorial tributes in Bob’s memory may be made to the Meyronne Recreation Centre or St. Joseph’s Hospital.
“Until we meet again, may the good Lord take a liking to you.â€
