Beloved Mother Bellavance, Margaret Henrietta, passed away peacefully at Pine Grove Care Centre in Kamloops, B.C. on November 11, 2006, at the age of 91. Mom was born to Joe and Agnes Williams on November 22, 1914 in Harpers Camp (now Horsefly) B.C. where she spent her childhood and teenaged years. At the age of 21, she met Maurice Bellavance, the couple were married on April 2, 1936 in Wells, B.C. They had four children: Joan Jackson (Gerry), Louise Mazar, Wayne Bellavance (Eliza), and Marnie Birley. In 1941 the family moved to Burnaby, then later to Vancouver. Mom was a great mother, working hard raising the four of us on her own. Mom boasts 11 grandchildren: Derrick, Sheryl, Don, Colleen, Robert, Greg, Michelle, Gordon, Lance, Dawn and John; and 21 great-grandchildren. Mom is survived by her brother Joe Williams in Ladner, B.C.; sisters Gladys (Bob) Foster and Ada (Howard) Carruthers in Nanaimo, B.C. and Dorothy Mann in High Prairie, Alberta. Mom loved music, crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She could often be heard singing in the halls of Pine Grove. Mom was loved by all the staff and residents alike. A Memorial Celebration will be held at Pine Grove Care Centre, 313 McGowan Avenue, Kamloops, B.C., on November 22, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. Kamloops Funeral Home is in charge of cremation, with interment to follow at a later date in Horsefly, B.C. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Mavis Hollman, also Martha and staff of Pine Grove Care Centre, for many years of tender care over our Mom.
