With many wonderful memories and sadness we mourn the passing of a dear father and grandfather, George Watson, on Saturday, January 28th, 2012 at the age of 89 years, on the DVA Ward, Corner Brook Long Term Care Center. Born in Undine, New Brunswick from where he joined the Armed Forces in the Second World War after which he moved to Newfoundland 70 years ago. Forever remembered by daughter Nancy (Douglas), granddaughters: Rhonda (Jamie) and Susan (Glenn); great-grandchildren Steven and Skye; brother Ellis (Gerry); sisters Violet (Garth) and Betsy (Guy); sisters-in-law Margaret, Jeannie, Patricia and Caroline. He was predeceased by his wife Florence; grandson Stephen; parents Mary and Adril; sisters Elva and Francis; brothers Gordon, Adrian, Cedric, Arthur and Donald. Visitation was held at St. Michael and all Angels Anglican Church, St. David's from where the funeral service took place on February 12st with Rev. Terry Rose officiating. Interment took place in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made a charity of ones' choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
