It is with great sadness that the family of the late Venitia Street announce her passing on Tuesday, January 31st, 2012 at Corner Brook Long Term Care Home at the age of 76 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Shirley (Karl) Jacobs, Terri Kawaja (Bob Locke), Todd (Heather) and Michael; grandchildren: Adam, Scott, Karl, Justin, Sarah and Vanessa; one great grandchild: Charlie; sister: Josephine Duffney; sisters-in-law: Frances Street, Margaret Payne, Doreen Seifert, Lucille Payne and Annie Costello; brothers-in-law: Eldon , Bruce and David Street; son-in-law: Ted Gillis; best friend: Mildred Alexander; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Roy Street; daughter: Margaret Gillis and parents: Joseph and Maggie Young. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 2nd at 11:00 A.M. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, Majors Calvin and Loretta Fudge officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Parkinson’s Society.
