– Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, Sarah Sellars of Western Bay, age 82 years. Predeceased by husband Everett, parents Albert and Gertrude Jenkins, sister Lillian, half-sisters Annie Myrtle and Veronica, half brothers Jack, Alex and Mike. Leaving to mourn four daughters: Debbie (Cyril) Whalen and Cecile Mast, both of Carbonear, Yvette (Tom) Hughes, Halifax, NS and Sadie Sellars (Tony Randell), Houston, TX; ten grandchildren: Natalie (Bob), Neal, Alicia (Keith), Andrew, Christian, Melanie, John, Marshall, Jordan and Meaghan; three great-grandchildren: Anna, Jacob and Payton; brother Rudolph (Jennie) Jenkins, Western Bay; twin sister: Mary Davis, St. John’s; sisters: Claudine (Howard) Roberts, Mount Pearl and Myrtle Warren (Bud Chisholm), Ontario; sister-in-law: Leah Jenkins, Carbonear, also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay with visitation hours by request of the family on Thursday, Dec. 3 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, December 5 at 2:00 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay. Interment in the United Cemetery, Western Bay North.
