1930 - 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Germaine Lucille on January 26, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband Victorien; parents Adelard and Florence Langlois; brothers Ernest, Guilbert, Robert, Maurice, Johnny; sister Valerie and grandchild Kurt Rondeau. She will be sadly missed by her children Roger (Gisele), Giselle, Denise (Ron), Denis (Vivian), Helene (George), Louise (Lorne) and Robert; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Germaine worked as a telephone operator in Willow Bunch and later in Moose Jaw at Osborne Drycleaning, Blackie's Grocery and Confectionary Store and as a school caretaker. She enjoyed her family, making bread and buns, quilting, puzzles, playing cards and singing all night long - her door was always open. She moved to Chateau St. Michael's in early December. A Celebration of Her Life was held at Moose Jaw Funeral Home January 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. James Zick officiated. Private interment will take place at a later date. Donations in Germaine's name may be made to Sask. Lung Association, Box 58000, Saskatoon, SK S7K 7Y4. The family would like to thank the doctors, especially Dr. Ganesan and staff of Union Hospital. Thank you to Chateau St. Michael's staff for the care they gave Germaine during her short time there. A special thanks to Fr. Rich Krofchek and James Zick for their visits.
