Passed peacefully away on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Elsie L. Blanchard at the age of 91 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Doreen; sister Gertrude (Bill) Sharpe; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium and a private family memorial service will be held. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit or to the Special Olympics of Newfoundland and Labrador. A memorial donation will be made to the Mummers Society of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Mountainview Home in Meadows by the family, which was so very near and dear to Elsie’s Heart.
