On November 27, 2006 Mr. John Howe passed away peacefully at Kamloops, B.C. at the age of 53 years. He is survived by his loving spouse Lorraine McQuillen and his daughter Elizabeth Howe of Oliver, B.C. and his son Derek King (Jody) of Vernon, B.C.; his three grandchildren Ethan, Ben and Isabella. Also left to cherish his memory, his brother James "Jim" Howe (Sandra), niece Andrea and nephew Sam; step mother Julie Howe and Tammy and Gordon Hermann (daughter and son in law of Lorraine McQuillen). Predeceased by his mother Dolores Marion Huglund and father Morris Ivor Howe. John was born March 14, 1953 in Calgary, Alberta. He then moved to Toronto and eventually moved to Naples, California until he was age 12 after which his mother passed away. He then moved back to Canada and lived a great number of years in Kelowna, B.C. where he finished high school and started to work. John was known for his great sense of humour, his caring and understanding as well as his great attention to detail. He was a great fisherman and most of all, my best friend. For everyone that knew him, he gave us all many chuckles. A Celebration of John's Life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Place Inn, 1285 Trans Canada Hwy. W., Kamloops. Should friends desire donations to the Epilepsy Association or the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home or a charity of donor's choice.
