Patricia Mary Klapstock Klapstock, Patricia Mary passed away peacefully at her home on November 28th, 2006 after a courageous struggle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by her family and her beloved dog, Mallory. Pat was predeceased by her parents, Cecil and Violet Bolitho of Sault Ste. Marie, and her husband, Ernie. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Klapstock of Toronto and Krista (Christopher) Cooper and her two grandchildren Tatiana and Ford Cooper of West Vancouver, her sister Penny Perrier and her brothers Norm and Don Bolitho. Pat graduated from McKellar Hospital with her RN and continued on at U.B.C. where she obtained her diploma. She then taught nursing at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. It was in Kamloops where she met and married Ernie and raised her family. In 1989, they settled in West Vancouver. She is fondly remembered by her oldest friends as "The Queen of Valleyview". She will be missed by so many, and remembered for her dignity, generosity and compassion. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8th, 2006 at Hollyburn Funeral Home, 1807 Marine Drive, West Vancouver. In Pat's memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society of B.C. To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die.
