POTHIER, Marie Chantale - 94, Halifax, N.S., formerly of Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., N.S., passed away peacefully, after a short illness, on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. She was the daughter of the late Pius and Erite LeBlanc of Wedgeport. She is survived by her very devoted daughter Alfreda (Robert) Revert; sisters, Lorraine LeBlanc and Claudia Richard; brother, Eugene. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Pothier; sisters, Alfreda LeBlanc-Mayo, Pauline Brezet, Louise Robicheau, Blanche Pothier-LeBlanc; brothers, Percy, Hector, Edmund, Gordon, Edward, and Archibald. She will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews and by a very special friend, Pam. Marie was a loving mother to Alfreda, and a devoted wife to Ernest. She will be fondly remembered by her unique sense of humor, and her teasing of all the nieces and nephews. Marie was very fond of the long days spent with her daughter, just spending quality time. She was very grateful for the kindness and caring her daughter gave her. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium. Visitation took place on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 2-4 and at 7-9 p.m. at Huskilson’s Funeral Home in Wedgeport, with the funeral followed on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Msgr. Gerald LeBlanc officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. Donations in Marie’s memory may be made to the VON or Saint Michael’s Cemetery Fund or the charity of your choice.
