It is with great sadness that the family of William (Bill) Sydia announces his passing on December 3, 2006, in the Ashcroft Hospital. Bill was the youngest of four children. He was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on February 17, 1938. Bill is survived by his wife, Dixie; his sons Kevin (Brenda), Wayde (Arlee Ann) and Tom (Monica) and his brother Dr. Daniel Sydiaha (Joanne). He is also survived by three step-sons; Dyke (Denise) Anderson, Dusty Anderson and Dana (Lynn) Anderson. Grandchildren; Katlen Sydia, Kyle and Amanda Sydia, Danny, Christopher and Brooke Anderson and Tiffany, Brittany and Brandon Anderson. He also had many nieces and nephews of whom he was very fond. He was predeceased by his mother Natalia (Tyshchenko) Sydiaha; brother George Sydiaha and sister Molly Buzinsky. The mother of his sons, Sheila McKee had also passed on previously. Bill was an active member of Zion United Church in Ashcroft and he was "A Friend of Bill W". He was totally dedicated to whatever task needed to be done; and he took his responsibilities very seriously. He loved to golf and enjoyed the friends he met on the course. He will be missed by many people. The family would like to thank Dr. McConville and the caring nurses at our hospital for their tender loving care of Bill. We are planning a celebration of Bill's life sometime in the Spring. The date will be announced later.
