Amedee Melanson
MELANSON, AMÉDÉE - 1917 – 2012 - Amédée Melanson, 94 of Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Cocagne passed away peacefully at the residence on Friday, February 3rd, 2012. Born in Cocagne on April 28th, 1917, he was the son of the late Philippe and the late Julie (Bourque) Melanson. He will sadly missed by several nephews and nieces. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by seven brothers; Zoël, Thadée, Edmond, Valerie, Alcide, Emile and Hector and four sisters; Marie-Stella, Marie-Jeanne, Eva and Anna.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Sunday, February 5th, 2012 from 7 to 9 and on Monday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Cocagne Church on Monday, February 6th, 2012 at 4:00 pm, with interment in the parish Cemetery in the spring.
In Amédée’s memory donations can be made to the Saint-Pierre Parish Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
