Stuart will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife Carolyn of 47 years; daughter Natalie (Sheldon) Firomski, grandchildren Devon, Tristan and Victoria; daughter Colleen Smith (Terry McGrath), and grand-daughter Jaylene; brother Doug (Tannis) Smith of Kamloops; brother-in-law Colin (MaryAnn) McPhail of Delta; sister-in-law Marj Felt and Phil Lloyd of Victoria; brother-in-law Tom McPhail of Lytton as well as many nephews, nieces and extended family.

Stuart worked for Syd Smith's & Mc Cannel Motors in Kamloops, until 1956 when he started with Kennedy Lake Div. of MacMillan Bloedel as a time keeper, and worked at MacMillan Bloedel until his early retirement in 1991.
Stuart and Carolyn spent many winters in the desert just out of Yuma, AZ. They loved to travel in their motor home, visiting family and friends, Stuart had great love for the mountains of the west. One of his other great loves was cars. If he wasn't working on cars he was working at the speedways in Victoria, Nanaimo, Haney, Langley and Skagit, Wash. He was quite proud of his 1940 Chevy; he had all the necessary parts but did not get it restored. The last few years they enjoyed their time at the drag races in Osoyoos.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday April 7, 2012 at the Oliver Elks Hall with Pastor Ken Clarke officiating.
