MUNRO (Taylor), Elizabeth Dawn “Beth” – 47, Harmony, Colchester County, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born January 12, 1962 in Truro, she was a daughter of Roy and Joan (Thompson) Taylor, Truro. Beth was a very determined person that enjoyed every challenge and accomplishing great success. Currently, she worked as an Insurance Agent with Combined Insurance. Other business ventures that Beth pursued include: former owner of TRIKS (Children’s Wear) in New Glasgow, former owner Bible Hill Laundromat and Sears catalogue agency, and sales manager at Sears and Panhandler in Truro. A sports enthusiast, she enjoyed any game that could be played with a ball – soccer, volleyball, baseball, basketball, to name a few and she was proud to be a part of the many Ponderosa Sports Teams. She was very excited to become a grandmother to Cheryl and James’ expected baby. Along with her parents, Beth is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Larry Alan Munro; daughter, Cheryl Ann (James McLeod), Truro; son, Charles William Alan, Bible Hill (Stephanie Harvey, Valley); brothers, Shawn Taylor (Shelly Vincent), Debert; Brian (Elizabeth) Taylor, Kentville; brother-in-law, David Crocker, North River; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Tracy Crocker; brother, Barry Taylor. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Beth’s family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Sunday, December 6, 2009, and where the funeral service will be held 2 pm Monday, December 7, 2009, Reverend Sue King-Darby officiating. Reception will follow in the funeral home. Interment in Harmony Cemetery. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations in Beth’s memory to Canadian Cancer Society are welcomed.
