It is with great sadness that the family of the late Shirley (Betty) Allen announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday, December 3, 2009 in her 66th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Gerald of 47 years, sons: Chris (Shirley) and Shane (Vanessa), mother Louise Wilkinson, brother Gordon Wilkinson (Phyllis), grandchildren: Myles, Kelsey and Rachel Allen, sister-in-law Helen (Walter) Vincent, brother-in-law Aubrey, sister-in-law Phyllis Allen, special friends Marina and Cyril Bishop. She is predeceased by her father Wallace Wilkinson. Visitation will take place on Friday, December 4, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Memorial United Church in Curling with Rev. Clayton Parsons officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment to take place at Mount Patricia Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Memorial United Church Fund.
