KREGER, Myrtle Lillian – 98, Great Village, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Wednesday evening, December 2, 2009, at home. Born April 24, 1911, in East Village, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Higgins) Smith. Myrtle was a registered nurse for 46 years and worked at the Exeter Hospital in New Hampshire. She was a former member of First Baptist Church, Exeter, and was currently a member of Faith Baptist Church, Great Village. She was an associate member of Myrtle Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Truro, and a member of Acadia Rebekah Lodge, No. 12, Londonderry. She was a life member of Great Village Garden Club. Myrtle is survived by her brother, Kenneth Smith, Great Village; special friend, Alice Fulton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Oscar Edward Kreger; sisters, Mildred Wallace, Margaret Kyle-Spencer, Florence Hoyt; brother, Gordon Smith. Funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday, December 5, 2009, in Faith Baptist Church, 38 Station Road, Great Village, Pastor Steve Adams officiating. Reception will follow in the church hall. Interment in Mahon Cemetery, Great Village. No flowers by request. If so desired, donations in Myrtle’s memory to Faith Baptist Church (Memorial Fund or Memorial Garden Fund), CNIB Library for the Blind or Christian Blind Mission International.
