TWILA JEAN STEEVES-CORMIER

Born In: New Brunswick, Canada

Passed in: Nova Scotia, Canada

STEEVES–CORMIER, Twila Jean
7 February, 1941–24 November, 2009
Born in Sackville, NB Twila Jean was the youngest daughter of the late Norman and Bessie Steeves and sister of Alice Sears(deceased) and Barbara Cook. She was the beloved and cherished Mother of Kenda Steeves (Ottawa, Ont). She is survived by Kenda, her dear and devoted husband Vernell Cormier (Halifax, NS) and his children Cindy (Robert Jewett), Diane (Greg Habley) and Steven Cormier. She will be remembered with great affection by many nephews, nieces, and step-grandchildren.
Twila Jean was blessed with many true and faithful friends who will miss her immeasurably.
At her request, there will be no funeral or memorial service at this time. Floral tributes are gratefully declined and, if desired, a memorial tribute may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or the nearest animal rescue organization or the SPCA. In her memory she requested that you have a cup of hot tea with someone you love and, reminisce, laugh and think of the good times. Don’t be sad because Twila Jean is now fishing with Gail.
Kenda would like to thank the staff of Queen Elizabeth II Hospital (Halifax) Floor 9A and in particular the caring and compassionate team on Floor 7A for going above and beyond. There will never be a way to convey how appreciated your support was in making a life altering event more bearable. Sincere gratitude and thanks to Reverend Adele for her daily talks and Wendy who was the “safe haven”.
