Gertrude Hudry

Gertrude Ann Hudry, 94 of Birch Street, Stellarton passed away February 2, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Walter and Ethel Avery.
Mom was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. She was involved in card clubs most of her life, and loved a good game of 45’s. Mom’s greatest passion in life was her family which was evident with family gatherings and the joy of laughter that came with it. She was an avid fan of hockey and baseball, having seldom missed the games on television. She loved country music and enjoyed dancing in her younger years.
She is survived by her children, Veronica Stewart(Victor), Ottawa; Mary Howard(Harry), Grimsby,Ont; Edward Hudry(Joan), Stellarton; Geraldine Berry(Keith), Milford; Donna Gennoe(Bill), Stellarton; Bernadette Nelson(Terry), Beaverbank; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Francis Hudry, a grandson Harry David Howard, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Her remains will rest in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton for visiting from 2-4 and 7-9pm Monday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2pm Tuesday from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Father Peter MacDonald presiding. Burial will take place in the Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow. Reception to follow in the parish hall.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Gertrude may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
