COLWELL, ALTA - On February 2, 2012 Alta E. (Clark) Colwell of White Rapids Manor, Fredericton Junction, NB, was called home to be with her Lord. Alta had just celebrated her 100th birthday and was the last living member of her family. Alta was born to Sadie (Chapman) and Robert Clark on January 4, 1912. Alta is survived by her daughter Arlene (Harold) Toole of Fredericton Junction, NB, her two sons Darrell (Marjorie) of Kingston, ON and Chris (Cathy) of Little River Hill, NB, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Alta was predeceased by her husband Arnold Colwell in 1977, her sisters; Thelma Haniseck and Velma Bouthillier (Twins) and Leona Randall, her brothers Keith, Lawrence and Charlie Clark. Alta loved the great outdoors, whether she was gardening, ranking firewood or raking the lawn – she was her happiest.
Family and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm for visitations. A funeral service will be held on February 8, 2012 at 3 pm from Fredericton Junction Baptist Church with Rev. James Harrison officiating. Interment will be in the Scotchtown Cemetery at a later date.
