BISHOP, HELEN ANN - 1943 - 2012 - Helen Bishop of Moncton passed away suddenly at her residence on Saturday, February 4, 2012. Born February 4, 1943 in New Waterford, NS, daughter of the late Russell and Ethel Bannister. Helen will be sadly missed by her children Rose Cole (Bryce Eagles) of Fredericton, Charlene Williams (Alan) of Moncton, Louetta Weagle of Moncton, Daniel Cole of Havelock, sisters Ruth Leaman (Russell) of Elgin, Debbie Garber of Salisbury, Coreen Clarke (Doug) of Petitcodiac, Kellie Hodgson (John) of Pleasantvale, brothers David Bannister (Helen) of Colpitts Settlement, Leonard Bannister of Colpitts Settlement, Perry Bannister (Maureen) of Colpitts Settlement, step-children Pauline Weir of Edmonton, AB, Beatrice O’Leary of Etobicoke, ON, Glen Bishop of Moncton. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 16 step grandchildren, 20 plus step great grandchildren and 20 plus step great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Helen was predeceased by her husband Orris Bishop (1986), her brother Russell Jr. (Sonny) as well as her granddaughter Elizabeth Cole.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Monday, February 6 from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday, February 7 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Calvin Fenwick officiating. A reception will follow in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations in Helen's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
