SMITH, HELEN MARGARET - The passing of Helen “Marg” Margaret Smith of Oromocto, NB, occurred on Monday, February 6, 2012 at home. Born on April 29, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Ruth (Wareham) Gardiner. Marg is survived by her daughters, Tanya (Brayden) White of Orlean, ON, Carol (Mark) Devink of Durham Bridge, NB and Carrie Smith (Shiva) of Hamilton, ON; grandchildren, Zach O’Kane, Chloe Smith and Gabriel Devink; sisters, Patsy (Tim) Good of Bathurst, NB, Connie and Barbara Gardiner both of Lincoln, NB; brothers, Wayne Gardiner of Lincoln, NB, Greg Gardiner of Nova Scotia and Brian (Uli) Gardiner of Germany; several nieces or nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Jacob Devink.
A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 2 pm with Father Ken Weir as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
