Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family at the L.A. Miller Center, Palliative Care Unit on Monday, February 25, 2008, Thomas McKenzie, aged 72 years. Predeceased by his parents: William and Mary-Ann McKenzie; sisters: Martha and Nancy and brother Jimmy. Leaving to mourn are his loving and devoted wife of 35 years: Carmel (nee Menchinton); sons: Tom (Lisa) and Scott; daughters: Bernice Murphy (Nelson), Heather, Corina Burden (Ben) and Janine; grandchildren: Alex, Devon, Brandon and Papa's weebairn: Brianna. Also leaving to mourn are seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who reside in B.C.; his Polish brother-in-law: Tom Menchinton (Marg); sisters: Jean, Enna and Mary; brothers: Rylond and George who reside in the U.K. as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 p-.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Barrett's Chapel on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 11 a.m., cremation will follow.
