On November 1st our family gathered together at St. John’s United Church, Port Morien with relatives, friends and neighbors in a Memorial Service for a dear husband and father Archibald “Skipper†MacQueen. To everyone who sent sympathy cards, food, e-mails, visited, made charitable donations, telephone calls and sent flowers a sincere thank you. To Dr. Dias thank you for your years of care. To Dr. N. MacVicar, Dr. T. Guy, ER staff, staff of 3rd West and 3rd South, Ruth Bedard and Sharon Kelloway of the Glace Bay Hospital thank you for your care and professionalism. A special thanks to Catherine Kennedy and the dedicated staff of Home Care Workers for their kindness and care shown to Skipper over the past few years, he looked forward to your visits. Thank you to the staff at Victoria Haven Nursing Home for your kindness and care during Skipper’s respite. To Rev. Chris Matheson for his compassionate words, organist Alice MacLeod and choir for the music, the UCW for the lunch provided and support given to Mom during this difficult time we are deeply grateful. To Clare and Spencer Wadden for the wonderful memories of Skipper, Lauren, Barrie and Glenn for the readings Skipper would have been honored. To co- workers for their understanding, compassion and support during this difficult time a special thank you. Thank you to Vina Johnson and staff of Patten Funeral Home for their support and professionalism. To Myron Cochrane and Bucky MacLeod for their help when needed. Our deepest gratitude to our neighbors Anne, Wayne, Matthew and Mark Graham words cannot express how much our family appreciates all that you have done for Mom and Dad over the years.
