Francis Madden McLeod, 78, of 118 Fifth Street, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2009 at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay he was a son of the late Michael and Isabel (MacDonald) McLeod.
Francis is survived by sister, Mary Mills and brother Bernie ‘Eckels’; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Michael, Alex, Ginger and Billy; sisters, Shirley, Rita, Theresa and one in infancy.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Curry’s Funeral Home. There will be a memorial mass for Francis on Monday Dec. 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church. Burial in the parish cemetery.
Donations in Francis’ memory are suggested to the Cancer Society.
