John A. (Jackie) MacNeil
In loving memory of a wonderful brother, John A. (Jackie) MacNeil, who was killed 33 years ago on Saturday morning, February 24, 1979 as a result of the explosion at No. 26 Colliery.
When evening shades are falling
And we sit in quiet alone,
To our hearts there comes a longing,
If only you could come home.
We seem to reach with longing hands
For something in the blue,
And when we touch that something,
We always find it's you.
When we are sad and lonely and everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper
Cheer up and carry on.
Always remembered and sadly missed by sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and their families
