Peacefully at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Friday, December 4, 2009, with the love and support of his wife and sons, of Harold James McRae of Kildare Capes, age 75 years. Born November 4, 1934, he was the son of the late Earl and Susan (nee Fennessey) McRae. Loving husband of Carmella M. (nee Arsenault) McRae and cherished father to Hal and his wife, Cindy, of Kildare Capes and Paul of Tignish. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Danielle, Alex and Michael McRae and Maggie Eldershaw. Dear brother to Seymour (Mary) of Pickering Ont.; Cora (Glenn) Caldwell of Dartmouth N.S., and Earl of Tignish. He is also survived by his sisters- and brother-in-laws, Marie McRae of Tignish; Florence (Dr. Bill) Gardner of Lake Simcoe Ont.; Valmore (Laura) Arsenault of Tignish. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Earl and Susan McRae, brothers and sister, Chet, Kenneth, Violet, Roy, Elmer and Claude. He was also predeceased by his father- and mother-in-law, Ralph and Katie Arsenault, a sister-in-law, Esther McRae, and by a nephew, Dr. Donnie McRae. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Funeral on Monday afternoon from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Rev. Ralph McRae celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery. If so desired memorials to the Western Hospital Equipment fund or to the M.S. Society would be gratefully appreciated. Visiting hours Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from noon until time of funeral.
